Job summary

Grease Monkey Canal Winchester is seeking an Assistant Manager to act as second-in-command in the center. You will oversee daily operations, support the Center Manager, and ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include managing service bays, handling customer interactions, and driving local marketing efforts while ensuring safety and compliance. The role requires leadership experience in a retail automotive setting and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Skills: Business Management, Employee Relations, Customer Service, Intermediate Computing skills.
• Basic literacy (read, write, math skills); Verbal communication skills.
• Ability and licensed to operate motor vehicles; Ability to properly use mechanical hand tools.
• Previous experience managing a retail automotive center or equivalent related business required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers immediately in a professional manner and present Grease Monkey services and pricing during Welcome, Wait/Show and Departure.
• Review Service Order Ticket with customers at check-out, explain services performed, and remind about warranties and programs.
• Resolve customer complaints and damage claims; solicit feedback from departing customers.
• Manage service bays, print and monitor sales/inventory reports, and oversee cash handling and POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety across the site, inventory counts, and daily close-out procedures.
• Plan and execute local center marketing, participate in community activities, and maintain required postings.
