Job summary

An automotive service provider located in Berlin Township, NJ, is seeking an experienced automotive technician. You will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of vehicles using advanced equipment. The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive knowledge in automotive systems and tools, can work well both independently and collaboratively, and adheres to safety standards. Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently while also having experience working in a team environment.
• Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, & engine diagnostics.
• Track record of high personal productivity.
• Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities.
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts and tire changing equipment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent - technical degree a definite plus.
• State-specific auto repair certifications.
• Valid driver's license.
• Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner/tools preferred also).
• Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems.
• Repair tires and conduct tire services.
• Work on car heating and air conditioning systems.
• Manage steering and suspension systems.
• Replace belts and hoses as needed.
• Repair radiator and engine cooling systems.
• Handle batteries, starting and charging systems.
• Conduct brake repairs and maintenance.
• Perform oil changes.
• Address check engine light issues.
• Provide muffler and exhaust services.
• Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections.
