Job summary

Tire Pros is seeking a tire technician to perform tire repairs, changes, balancing, rotations, and TPMS procedures. This role offers strong growth and career opportunities within a well-established franchise.

Qualified candidates will have basic tire knowledge and a high school diploma, with preference for those familiar with tire and lube requirements and diagnostic skills. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training, or 6 months tire technician experience.
• Knowledge of non-technical tire and auto service processes.
• Familiarity with tire and lube requirements; knowledge of wheel balancers and TPMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews service requests and visually inspects vehicles to determine tire service needs.
• Diagnose and repair brake issues, including pads, rotors, calipers, and related components.
• Perform tire replacement or minor maintenance services.
• Install TPMS as required and mount/inflate tires.
• Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement.
• Conduct short road tests and review service with customer.
• Comply with Quality Control, Safety policies, OSHA and EPA regulations.

Job Summary

Performs all automotive tire repairs, changes, balancing, rotations and TPMS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed
• Understand how to diagnose and repair brake issues, including replacing pads, drums, resurfacing rotors, brake flushes, calipers, and any other aspect of brakes
• Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services
• Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required
• Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement
• Performs short road test to ensure proper installation
• Reviews service with customer
• Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations

Desired Qualifications

• High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience
• Must have knowledge of non-technical tire and auto service processes and procedures. Knowledge of systems software pertaining to automotive servicing
• Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications
  • Knowledge of Mitchell Repair and All-Data
  • Knowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and some drivability diagnostic experience
