Job summary

D&S Automotive is hiring an Automotive Body Technician in Mentor, Ohio. Join a team with a long-standing Northeast Ohio presence delivering collision repair and restyling services.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. You will perform disassembly, follow OEM procedures, execute repairs, and ensure quality through self-inspections before delivery. A sign-on bonus is offered after 90 days, with competitive benefits and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive body repair experience.
• I-CAR certification preferred (Platinum designation a plus).
• Must own the required tools to complete body repair work.
• Ability to read and follow repair orders, OEM procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving and background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Restore damaged vehicles to original structural integrity, safety, and appearance per repair plans and standards.
• Disassemble vehicles to identify damage and prepare for repair.
• Follow OEM repair procedures to ensure safe and compliant repairs.
• Perform repairs as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Work with components across metals, plastics, glass, and electrical parts.
• Perform welding and structural repairs as required by the plan.
• Install replacement parts to specs.
• Communicate findings and needs to estimators and production management to avoid delays.
• Conduct self-inspections to ensure quality prior to delivery.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

3+ years automotive body repair

ICAR certification preferred

Valid driver’s license

Education
