Job Summary

We are seeking an Automotive Body Repairer- Body Technician to join our team! As an Automotive Body Repairer, you will repair vehicles, managing multiple repair projects at once, and working closely with coworkers to ensure work is completed properly and on time. The ideal candidate has previous auto body experience, excellent customer service and communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the extent of collision and body damage.
• Perform structural and non-structural auto body repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
• Remove, repair, and replace damaged body panels, bumpers, fenders, doors, hoods, and other components.
• Perform frame and unibody repairs using appropriate measuring and straightening equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Repair dents, body damage, and other imperfections using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and other metal repair procedures as required.
• Align body panels and ensure proper fit, gaps, and overall vehicle appearance.
• Prepare repaired surfaces for refinishing, including sanding, filling, and masking as needed.
• Work with estimators and other repair staff to identify necessary repairs and communicate repair progress.
• Follow OEM repair procedures, safety standards, and shop policies.
• Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other shop equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform quality-control inspections to ensure repairs meet professional and manufacturer standards.
• Document completed work and report any additional damage or repair concerns.
• Handle vehicles carefully to prevent additional damage during the repair process.
• Stay current with new repair techniques, tools, materials, and vehicle technologies.
