BMW Manufacturing Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Assembly Planning Intern for Spring 2027 to gain hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing processes and cross-functional project work.

The role involves supporting assembly planning, data reporting, and participation in design reviews for chassis and powertrain projects, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and execution of risk filters in a team setting.

Qualifications

Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial/Systems Engineering) preferred.
Basic CAD software knowledge.
Digital database experience preferred (Excel Macros, SharePoint, APEX, etc.).
Self-driven to push projects and tasks forward.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
Enrolled student status at a United States four-year college or university.
Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
Must attach unofficial transcript.

Responsibilities

Assist Assembly Planning daily with chassis and powertrain tasks.
Support planning and coordination of assembly structure and equipment projects.
Help gather and report data for weekly team deliverables.
Participate in design reviews of new processes and equipment for Chassis and Powertrain.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
