Job summary

Hendrick Automotive Group is seeking an Apprentice Technician to support the Service Technician team at Hendrick Chevrolet (Cary), NC. The role focuses on learning to identify service needs and perform repairs under supervision, with the long-term goal of progressing to a Service Technician.

The position supports a structured apprenticeship program, aligning with Apprenticeship NC guidelines, and encourages skill advancement through hands-on experience and formal training.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
• Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Technical training or commensurate technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists Master/Service Technician or Team Leader with examining customer vehicles.
• Assists Master/Service Technician or Team Leader with identifying necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Assists with estimating cost of repairs.
• Assists with performing vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Documents services performed.
• Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
• Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
