Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring an Automotive Alignment Technician to join our team at our center in the Tarrytown, NY area. You will use state-of-the-art equipment to align tires and wheels, measuring caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to ensure safety and proper travel.

As an active position, duties include performing oil and filter changes, flat repairs, and other routine maintenance while maintaining a focus on efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

Responsibilities

• Align tires and wheels using the latest equipment, measuring caster, camber, toe and thrust angles.
• Perform state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs.
• Carry out other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customers' vehicles.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
