Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking an Automotive Alignment Technician for a full-time role at our Windermere, FL service center. You will use advanced equipment to align tires and wheels and perform related maintenance tasks on customer vehicles.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of relevant experience, be able to lift heavy objects, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. State inspections license preferred and on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Requires 1 year of tire mounting/dismounting, balancing, or equivalent training.
• State inspection license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Align tires and wheels using modern equipment to adjust caster, camber, toe and thrust angles.
• Perform state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs as needed.
• Provide other automotive services to customers' vehicles.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
