Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician in Sulphur, LA. You will use advanced equipment to align tires and wheels, adjust angles for optimal tire wear and road stability, and perform routine maintenance and inspections on customer vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 1 year of experience and/or training in mounting, balancing and rotating tires.

Responsibilities

• Use latest equipment to align tires and wheels on customers' vehicles.
• Measure and adjust caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to reduce tire wear and ensure straight travel.
• Perform state-mandated inspections, oil/filters, flat repairs and related maintenance as needed.
• Stand, walk, bend and lift items weighing over 50 pounds as part of daily duties.
• Provide high-quality service and ensure customer vehicles are safe and road-ready.

We're looking for a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair and tire sales centers in the Sulphur, LA area. About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

• Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles.
• By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true.
• Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state‑mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.
• They are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair.
• Mavis's Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• be at least 18 years of age

• possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
• preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license
