Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician for our Mooresville, NC service center. You will use advanced equipment to align tires, measure caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, and help ensure vehicles travel straight and true.

Responsibilities include inspections, oil/filters, tire repairs, and other required services. A strong mechanical aptitude and physical stamina are essential for lifting and repetitive tasks, with on-the-job training

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• 1 year of experience and/or training in mounting, dismounting, balancing tires or equivalent.
• Preferred state inspection license.

Responsibilities

• Align newly mounted tires and wheels using the latest equipment to ensure proper caster, camber, toe and thrust angles.
• Measure and adjust alignment to reduce tire wear and promote straight travel.
• Perform state inspections, oil and filter changes, and flat repairs as part of routine service.
• Carry out other required automotive service or vehicle repairs as needed.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
