Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking an Automotive Alignment Technician in the Round Lake Beach, IL area. Join Team Mavis to work with state-of-the-art equipment, align tires, and perform related automotive services such as oil changes and flat repairs.

The position offers full-time hours with growth opportunities and benefits. We seek candidates 18+, legally eligible to work in the United States, with about a year of tire service experience; a state inspection license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires.

Responsibilities

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
