Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices in McKinney, TX is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art service centers. You will use advanced equipment to align tires and wheels and perform routine maintenance as needed.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience or training in tire mounting/balancing, plus a state inspection license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age and legal work status in the United States.
• At least 1 year of experience and/or training in mounting, dismounting, rotating and balancing tires.
• State inspection license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Align tires and wheels using updated equipment to meet specifications.
• Measure and adjust caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to ensure proper travel.
• Perform state-mandated inspections, oil/filters, and flat repairs as needed.
• Carry out additional automotive services as required and ensure quality workmanship.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer’s vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer’s tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis’s Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
