Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Alignment Technicians to join Team Mavis at one of our service centers in the Conover, NC area. Technicians use the latest equipment to align tires and wheels, adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to ensure safe driving.

We also perform maintenance and inspections as needed. We offer competitive weekly pay with incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or related tasks.
• Preferred state inspection license for Alignment Technicians.
• Physical requirements include standing, lifting up to 50+ pounds, and ability to perform repeated movements.

Responsibilities

• Align tires and wheels using advanced equipment; adjust caster, camber, toe and thrust angles.
• Perform tire rotations, mounting/dismounting, oil and filter changes, and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Complete state-mandated inspections and assist with other required repairs.

Overview

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Alignment Technicians to join Team Mavis at one of our service centers in the Conover, NC area. With over 2,000 locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

About the Position

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly mounted tires and wheels on customer vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Technicians reduce tire wear and ensure vehicles travel straight and true. Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes, flat repairs, and perform other required automotive services or vehicle repairs.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position you must: 1) be at least 18 years of age; 2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; 3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. It is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

Physical requirements: Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated movements associated with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
