Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices in New Jersey seeks a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician to join Team Mavis in the Ewing Township area. You will use modern equipment to align tires and wheels, measure caster, camber, toe and thrust, and ensure vehicles travel straight and true.

You may also perform state inspections, oil and filter changes, flat repairs, and other required services. At least 18, US work authorization, and 1 year tire experience are needed; state inspection license

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• One year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires.
• State inspection license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Align tires and wheels using the latest equipment and adjust caster, camber, toe, and thrust angles.
• Ensure vehicles travel straight and true and reduce tire wear.
• Perform state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs.
• Deliver other required automotive service or vehicle repairs as needed.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis’s Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
