Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art service centers. Our Technicians align tires and wheels, measure caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, and ensure vehicles travel straight and true while performing inspections and routine maintenance.

Technicians are responsible for state inspections, oil changes, flat repairs, and other necessary repairs to keep customers’ vehicles safe and reliable,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum 1 year of experience or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires.

Responsibilities

• Use the latest equipment to align tires and wheels, adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles.
• Perform state inspections, oil and filter changes, and flat repairs as part of vehicle service.
• Complete required automotive service tasks and ensure high-quality workmanship.

About the Position of Automotive Alignment Technician

Automotive Alignment technicians use the latest equipment to align newly-mounted tires and wheels on customer's vehicles. By measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles, our Automotive Alignment Technicians reduce customer's tire wear and ensure serviced vehicles travel straight and true. Mavis's Alignment Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs, and perform any other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customer vehicles.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Alignment Technicians you must (1) be at least 18 years of age; (2) be legally authorized to work in the United States; and (3) possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. In addition, it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license.

As an active position, Automotive Alignment Technicians are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Alignment Technicians must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
