Job summary

The Textile Development Professional will lead the design, development, and commercialization of OPW and flat-woven fabrics, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams to meet performance and manufacturability goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in textile/engineering.
5+ years in manufacturing, process improvement, or product development.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead development, engineering, and commercialization of woven fabric products (OPW and flat-woven).
Optimize fabric designs by evaluating yarn selection, weave, finishing, coating, and processing parameters.
Serve as technical fabric expert from concept to scale-up and commercialization.
Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality to optimize weaving, finishing, coating, and other processing steps.
Design and coordinate development trials, prototypes, testing, and sample production using DOE, FMEA, and related tools.
Troubleshoot fabric/process quality issues and drive corrective actions and continuous improvements.
Translate customer requirements into fabric constructions and technical specifications for trials and qualification.
Maintain technical documentation and PPAP/customer qualification support with cross-functional teams.
