Job description

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the Testing team and Organization
• Architect, develop, and maintain an innovative test automation system for the organization
• Define automated test criteria, design & develop the organization's Test Automation framework and develop automated tests for all functionality that meets specified automation criteria
• Work closely with the application architects to develop a solid testing solution, working towards the future state of the application architecture
• Lead complex test automation efforts using Cucumber/Selenium and Java for large Agile software projects and identify innovative solutions to solve complex test problems
• Work collaboratively in a team-based Agile environment with other technical staff, business owners, and subject matter experts, following industry standard Scrum and SAFe methodologies.
• Assist in the training/mentoring of team members, including testers, developers, and business analysts, and implement organization-wide Quality Process initiatives to ensure Quality of deliverables
• Communicate automation goals, priorities, and status across the organization
• Define Behavior Driven Development approach and tools for Automated Testing in an Agile project
• Partner with Agile Release Train to plan for new functionality, resolve defects, and incorporate error injection test methodologies

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline and 7 years of applied work experience OR Master's degree and 5 years of relevant work experience OR a minimum of 11 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• 6 years of experience with automation testing, developing and executing automated test scripts using Automated Testing Tools (such as Selenium, Cucumber etc.)
• 3 years of hands-on experience using Selenium and Cucumber
• 1 year of experience architecting, developing, and maintaining an innovative test automation environment including automation test framework design and development
• 2 years of experience with agile development (preferably SAFe), test-driven development, advanced concepts of scrum, and knowledge of agile project tools, such as VersionOne
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in analyzing metrics, identifying dysfunctions, and making recommendations to senior management
