Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Jasper, IN is seeking a Test Equipment Group Technician to develop, maintain, and improve automated test equipment used in manufacturing.

You will work closely with New Product Development, Production, Quality, and ITD to ensure safe, reliable test systems. Strong electronics and mechanical skills, soldering, wiring, and CAD familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Electrical Technician, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals, including analog and digital circuits, power systems.
• Working knowledge of mechanical design principles for fixtures, enclosures, and tooling.
• Proficiency in soldering and using hand tools
• Experience creating and reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with test and measurement equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs).
• Hands-on troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and implement custom test equipment including radio mesh networks, harnesses, control panels, and automated test systems.
• Create and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD tools.
• Generate and maintain complete documentation, including schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and calibration requirements.
