Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet Co., Ltd. (FII) seeks an Automation Technician to provide front-line technical support for automated production lines, robotics, and material-handling systems.

You will assist Automation Engineers with recipe setup, HMI diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and coordination with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams. Responsibilities include monitoring line performance, responding to alarms, troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and cabling, and supporting

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certificate in mechatronics or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Experience with automated manufacturing and controls support preferred.
• Basic pneumatics and mechanical assemblies knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Monitor line performance, respond to alarms and restore throughput.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and cabling; escalate as needed.
• Support changeovers, testing, and validation for product changes.
• Verify operation of robotic systems, conveyors, and AMR/RGV sequences.
• Perform preventive maintenance on automation components and I/O modules.
• Document faults, repairs, and PM findings.
• Assist software/firmware updates and integration activities.
• Support FAT/SAT testing and commissioning.
• Participate in root cause analysis for downtime events.
• Maintain backup files, version logs, and configuration documentation.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Production to minimize disruption.
• Train operators on HMI operation, alarm handling, and recovery procedures.
