Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc (USA) is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support and troubleshoot biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment with HMIs and PLCs at our East Greenbush site. You will assist with routine operations, maintenance, changeovers, and equipment setups in GMP settings.

Typical roles include diagnosing electrical control circuits, collaborating with facilities teams, and maintaining data integrity while following safety protocols.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
• Automation Technician II/III/IV levels imply 2+, 5+, or 8+ years of experience respectively.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and computerized systems in regulated environments preferred.
• Knowledge of ladder logic, PID control, electrical control systems, instrumentation, and AC/DC characteristics.
• Ability to diagnose electrical circuits with a digital multimeter and schematics.
• Understanding of data integrity regulations is important.
• Machine controls knowledge with Allen-Bradley/Siemens preferred; B&R helpful.
• Experience with servers, virtualization, distributed control, and basic networking is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; level determined by qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide automation technical support, troubleshooting, and assistance during routine operations and changeovers.
• Identify corrective or preventive maintenance and coordinate issue resolution with manufacturing and facilities teams.
• Support GMP bulk biologics, fill/finish, and clean utilities equipment operations.
• Perform full gowning when on production floors and use required PPE.
• Communicate automation issues clearly and manage troubleshooting across groups.

Our Automation Technicians are responsible for supporting and troubleshooting biopharmaceutical manufacturing/filling/packaging equipment that utilize Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) at Regeneron's Industrial Operation and Product Supply organization. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.

Where & When:

• Location: East Greenbush, New York, United States
• Working shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 4:00pm-12:30am
• Training shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm for approximately 6 months

Discover your role:

• Provide automation technical support, troubleshooting, and assistance during routine operations, maintenance activities, equipment setups, and changeovers for manufacturing operations of GMP Bulk Biologics, Fill/Finish, and Clean Utilities systems
• Identify and implement corrective or preventive maintenance, component replacements, or corrections on automated systems as needed
• Communicate and coordinate Automation issue resolution for manufacturing and facilities groups
• Full gowning when entering and working on production floor
• Utilize specialized personal protective equipment as required, including arc flash, when working near energized equipment or when working in construction environments
• Work independently and safely around all industrial equipment

This role requires:

• Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field and the following years of experience supporting process control and/or data acquisition systems; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered:
• Automation Technician II: 2+ years of related experience
• Automation Technician III: 5+ years of related experience
• Automation Technician IV: 8+ years of related experience
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and computerized systems, preferably in a regulated environment
• Knowledge of ladder logic, PID control, electrical control systems, instrumentation, and current and voltage characteristics in DC and 120/240/480 VAC circuits
• Ability to diagnose or troubleshoot electrical control circuits utilizing a digital multimeter and electrical schematics
• Basic understanding of data integrity regulations
• Special emphasis on machine controls preferred, with specific knowledge of Allen-Bradley and Siemens control system products strongly preferred; basic knowledge of B\&R control system products is helpful
• Experience with servers, virtualization, distributed control, and basic networking is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role
