Job summary

The Sofidel Group in Duluth, MN is seeking an Automation/Electrical Technician to install, maintain, and replace automation systems throughout the production process. You will troubleshoot components including motors, sensors, and PLCs, and serve as SME for leadership on current capabilities and future opportunities.

A strong background in engineering, robotics, and production automation is preferred. Join a dynamic team focused on innovation, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical or Automation preferred.
• Experience in a production environment, particularly automation technology.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Three years of strong industrial automation background.
• Experience with AB/Rockwell DC Drives and PLCs.
• Understanding of PLC/DCS components.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and replace automation systems in production.
• Troubleshoot servos, sensors, and control components.
• Log equipment usage and maintenance activities.
• Report to leadership on automation capabilities and status.
• Read blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot process control.
• Update drawings reflecting improvements.
• Coordinate with management on projects.
• Ensure safe work practices and product quality.
