Job summary

Wilsonart is seeking an Automation Technician I to perform final sanding, painting, cleaning, gluing, and packing of fabricated piece parts, and to train new technicians in automation processes. You will follow piece tickets, ensure quality, and work within a safety-focused environment.

The role requires standing for long shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs, and maintaining meticulous data and documentation at the workstation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 12 months of work experience.
• Ability to stand up to 12 hours per day.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Responsibilities

• Custom gluing and fabrication of pieces to meet customer requirements.
• Assemble, final sand, paint and polish finished pieces.
• Pack and label parts according to ticket requirements.
• Select packing materials (skids, paper, corner boards).
• Conduct final inspection for dimensional and visual quality.
• Train new Automation Technician I.
