Wilsonart LLC in Taylor, TX is seeking an Automation Technician on 2nd shift to operate CNC mills, lathes, and routers. You will program, load, and verify CNC programs, read drawings, and ensure parts meet spec while keeping equipment safe and productive.

This position requires advanced knowledge of CNC machining processes, including 3-axis and 5-axis equipment, G/M coding, machine offsets, tooling, feeds and speeds, and interpretation of engineering drawings and production specifications. The role also supports robotic and automated manufacturing systems, assists with equipment deployment and operational readiness, collects operational data, escalates complex technical issues to engineering, and serves as a technical resource by training new Machine Operators.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Operate Advanced Automated Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment to fabricate solid surface parts* Maintain full and current understanding of CNC machinery including G and M coding, maintenance, etc.* Read and analyze drawings for accurate pattern customization* Interpret and load all work order ticket programs as needed on all CNC machinery* Program and operate CNC mills, lathes, or routers according to work instructions and safety guidelines.* Troubleshoot major diagnostics & maintenance on assigned equipment* Occasionally verify piece dimensions against ticket requirements utilizing measuring tools* Inspect and verify piece & parts dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
