Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers in Windsor Locks, CT is seeking an Automation Technician III to maintain an automated material handling system. You will troubleshoot, repair, test, and perform preventive maintenance to keep the system running.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting fieldbus components on conveyors, replacing mechanical parts, reloading PLC parameters, and maintaining PMs on multi-axis robots. You will document repairs in Maximo and assist teammates, with a night shift schedule 10:00 PM

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical fields and 5+ years electro-mechanical experience.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated systems.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and network diagnostics for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all systems of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System to ensure continuous operation.
• Troubleshoot fieldbus components on conveyor systems and replace faulty parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations on multi-axis robotic arms and end-of-arm tools.
• Document repairs, PMs, and parts usage in Maximo; train other technicians as needed.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining continuous system operation by troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and performing preventive maintenance activities.## Job DescriptionLocation: 500 North St Windsor Locks, CT 06096Earn: $35-$40Schedule: Tuesday-Friday 10:00PM - 8:30 AM**Description*** Maintain all systems and subsystems of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System. Ensure rapid equipment return to serviceability by performing a thorough in-depth troubleshooting on any non-functioning or faulted system, subsystem or component. Keep Management informed of specific problems and suggested actions, including approximate time required for repairs.* Troubleshoot and replace fieldbus communication components on the material handling conveyor systems, including addressing components and running diagnostics. Be able to remove and replace mechanical parts of the conveyor such as: repairing broken chain, belting, rollers drive motors, realigning or replacing control system sensors (photo-eyes), proximity, etc. Ability to remove and replace, reload software parameters for PLC product lines and other like components, such as industrial PCs or server based controls. Diagnose and replace as required electronic sensors including reprogramming and alignment.* Perform Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and adjustments on multi axis robotic arms and End Of Arm Tools. Be proficient with conveyor maintenance including Preventive Maintenance (PM) actions on automated conveyor equipment as directed.* Document repairs, PMs, parts usage, and time by completing work orders in a computerized maintenance management system (Maximo). Responsible for cleanup of equipment and removal of replaced parts from work areas after repairs are completed.* Assist and train other automation team technicians in troubleshooting and repairs of any equipment as required, consistent with level of experience and training.* Travel Required: No**Environment*** Warehouse : Store/Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)**Skills*** Specialized Knowledge : Working knowledge of 480, 277, and 120 volt electrical systems (single and three phase).
