Job summary

Agropur, inc. seeks an Automation Technician in Jerome, ID to troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and computer-controlled systems. You will monitor automated processes, diagnose PLC-based issues, and tune HMIs to maintain efficient production.

How your role contributes to that mission:

We are looking for an Automation Technician in Jerome, ID. The Automation Technician uses knowledge of electronics, mechanics and computers to troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and computer-controlled systems.

• Monitor Automated Systems using a computer.
• Troubleshoot the automation system using various PLC programs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot HMI Systems, making adjustments or modifications as needed.

The profile that shares this sense of contribution:

• Associate's or Technical Degree in Electrical Technology or related field required.
• Experience with the following required:
  • 4-20mA control Loops.
  • Motor Control Centers utilizing voltages from 120vac to 480vac.
  • Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Rockwell PLC Programming Software Legacy and Logix based.
  • Rockwell View Studio (ME) Version 6 and up.
  • Intouch (Wonderware) Development utilizing version 2012 P01 and newer.
  • Intouch, Intouch Historian and SQL server2008.
  • Computer Server file locations and Network configuration.
  • AutoCAD or other Electrical Print Viewing Software.
  • Understanding PI&D's.
  • Sound wiring principals and techniques.
  • Troubleshooting using Electrical prints, PLC logic, and measuring equipment.
