Automation Systems Technician II (2nd Shift)

Position Overview

This role involves working in a warehouse, refrigerated areas, and freezers at -30°C or colder. The candidate will handle boxes and pallets manually and with automated equipment, following departmental procedures. As the point of contact for plasma operations at the Plasma Logistics Center, responsibilities include managing raw material flow, inventory control using Plasma Management System (SGP), and supporting supply chain projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate automated systems via Human Machine Interface (HMI) for fault recovery.
  • Learn and operate inventory control systems like SAP, SGP, and Savanna.
  • Identify and segregate plasma types and intermediates for storage in Savanna WMS.
  • Manage plasma inventory using WMS for storage and retrieval.
  • Perform critical functions during automated equipment maintenance, ensuring system redundancy.
  • Troubleshoot faults within Automated Storage and Retrieval System and conveyor system.
  • Interpret and verify freezer work orders from Plasma Management System (SGP).
  • Communicate equipment issues to Facility Maintenance.
  • Use Radio Frequency Terminal scanners effectively.
  • Maintain CGMP compliance through cleanliness and organization (training provided).
  • Follow written procedures and communicate clearly with management.
  • Assist in problem resolution, resource planning, and work with internal/external customers.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely, including electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or FDA-licensed industry.
  • Experience with cGMPs and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of cGMP preferred.
  • Warehouse and forklift experience desirable.
Occupational Demands
  • Frequently lift 25-50 lbs.
  • Work in extreme temperatures of -30°C or colder.
  • Climb 90-foot ladder in -35°C environment for troubleshooting.
  • Perform basic computer skills.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
