Job summary

Wilsonart LLC in Taylor, TX is seeking an Automation Specialist for day shift to support sanding, painting and finishing of fabricated pieces. You will follow piece tickets, operate glueing and finishing steps, and ensure accurate labeling and packing while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 12 months of related work experience, ability to read tape measures, and willingness to learn automation software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ work experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of becoming forklift certified.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Custom gluing and fabrication of pieces to meet special customer requirements.
• Assemble, final sand, paint and polish finished piece parts as required.
• Pack and label all piece parts in accordance with requirements on piece ticket.
• Select the correct packing materials such as skids, paper, corner boards.
• Conduct final inspection each piece for dimensional and visual quality.
• Train new Automation Technician I.
• Maintain or exceed expected output on pieces per hour.
