Job summary

A global industrial engineering firm is seeking an Assembly Technician in Ann Arbor, MI, to perform the assembly, wiring, plumbing, and debugging of mechanical and electrical components. The role involves reading assembly drawings, testing parts, and collaborating with teams to solve problems. A positive attitude and a background in automation or manufacturing are desired, along with basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Associate Technical Degree or experience in an automation/manufacturing environment is preferred.
• A positive attitude with technical aptitude or background is required.
• Knowledge of mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and assembly procedures is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret assembly drawings to determine assembly component parts.
• Assemble all aspects of a machine or multi-systems from drawings or verbal instructions.
• Test assembled parts and perform fit and function tests.
• Work with the team for the final assembly of large production systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, customers, and programmers to solve technical problems.
• Participate in teardown and installation of equipment.
• Travel is required.
