Job summary

Alsco is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Durham, NC to perform preventative and specialized maintenance of the facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements.

You will troubleshoot, document repairs using PM software, operate and maintain wastewater and power plant equipment, and collaborate with the operations team to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• 2+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of electric schematics, low voltage troubleshooting, controls, steam/ boiler operation, hydraulics, pneumatics, safety compliance (LOTO, hot work, confined spaces), wastewater treatment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager, Production Management team, and other key operational partners to support facility operations.
• Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond promptly to equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with an emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Maintain compliance with operational, safety, and environmental requirements by completing safety training, recording and retaining required documentation, supporting wastewater compliance, and maintaining computerized maintenance records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
