Job summary

USCIS is seeking an Automation Tester to develop and execute manual and automated tests for its applications and services. The role emphasizes defect management, requirements traceability, accessibility testing, and release readiness.

You will support end-user testing and ensure delivered functionality meets documented criteria. The candidate will work in a fast-paced government environment, contributing to continuous testing, test automation improvements, and audit-ready test artifacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• US citizenship is required to obtain a US government Public Trust clearance.
• Experience performing automated, functional, regression, API, interoperability, and accessibility testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, automated scripts, and test data for USCIS applications and services.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, interoperability, performance, and Section 508 accessibility testing.
• Execute automated tests within CI/CD pipelines and analyze results to identify defects and system behavior.
• Document, track, retest, and verify defects in coordination with development teams.
• Support end-user testing and confirm delivered functionality aligns with requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain test evidence and traceability artifacts for quality validation and audits.
• Report recurring defects and testing trends to project and engineering teams.
• Contribute to improvements in test automation, coverage, reporting, and QA processes
