Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Technical Project/Program Manager in Austin, TX to lead cross-functional automation projects across manufacturing sites.

You will manage requirements, vendor coordination, and end-to-end delivery from design through production handoff. The role requires strong technical acumen, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing automation experience is required.
• Experience with system integrators in automation projects.
• Knowledge of vision systems for robotics/inspection is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across different business units.
• Understanding of IoT architecture and data integration is a plus.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of automation projects across manufacturing sites.
• Define scope, goals, and deliverables with engineering, operations, IT, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including controls, mechanical, software, and operations.
• Track timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies through project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with vendors and system integrators to ensure on-time deliverables.
• Facilitate design reviews, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment.
