Job summary

Americold in Rochelle, IL is seeking a proactive operations technician for our automated warehouse to monitor production processes, ensure accurate throughput, and minimize downtime. You will work to optimize product flow and assist with improvement plans across the control systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an automated warehouse facility.
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and experience with WMS software features required.
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment and process issues.
• Experience with PLC programming and conveyor control systems required.

What You'll Do

You will support and oversee production operations within an automated warehouse by monitoring warehouse processes for accuracy and efficiency and ensuring optimal product flow to meet operational throughput. Physical Requirements

• Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching, and/or bending.

• Requires ability to comprehend and communicate with others, verbally and/or in writing.
• May require travel by automobile and airplane for business.
• May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.
• May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

The company’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting for this position is minimum $17.75-$26.50 hourly. Rate may vary based on work location.
