Job summary

PTI Engineered Plastics, Inc. is seeking a hands-on manufacturing supervisor to plan and coordinate secondary operations in a plastics environment.

You will lead the design and build of secondary equipment, installing and qualifying new setups while driving continuous improvements across workflows and equipment capabilities. You will set efficiency standards for secondary operations, oversee automation in molding operations, and develop clear work instructions for machines and operators.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the plastic industry and various automation techniques.
• Injection molding processing knowledge is a plus.
• Manufacturing tooling design experience.
• Programmable logic controllers (PLC) and robotics controls are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan manufacturing secondary operations.
• Lead design and build of secondary equipment including installation and qualification, with continuous improvement.
• Recommend layout, workflow and process improvements for manufacturing.
• Set efficiency standards for secondary operations.
• Oversee automation in molding operations.
• Troubleshoot ergonomic issues and provide solutions.
• Develop work instructions for machines and operators.
• Promote team problem solving and productivity projects with operators, engineers, customers and management.
