Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC client is a global manufacturing leader seeking Maintenance Technicians to ensure reliability of highly automated equipment in Hastings/Caledonia, MI. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical/electrical faults, and PLC-related troubleshooting to support production and continuous improvements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and experience with robotics or automation systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with industrial maintenance experience.
3+ years industrial maintenance in manufacturing is preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, electro-mechanical equipment, and automation.
Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment and PLCs.
Journeyman certification or 3–5 years machine repair experience preferred.
Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics, diagnose faults, and perform root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Ensure equipment and automated systems operate safely and reliably.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-related issues.
Diagnose and repair motors, relays, switches, sensors, drives, and PLCs.
Interpret drawings and manuals to support fault diagnosis and repairs.
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and work orders.
