Job summary

HellermannTyton is seeking an Maintenance and Automation Technician I to support injection molding presses, robots, EOATs, and automation cells. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment to maximize uptime while adhering to quality and EHS standards.

You will collaborate with Process Engineering, QA, and Production to sustain efficiency, address alarms, and implement improvements.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
1-3 years of injection molding maintenance and automation troubleshooting or 3–5 years in other industrial/automation maintenance.
Preferred certifications: Robotics programming, Vision system training, RJG Master Molder.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose faults on injection molding machines, robots, EOATs, and automation equipment.
Diagnose robot EOAT alignment, gripper posture, sensor faults, timing, speeds, and positions.
Setup, calibrate, and clean vision systems; reimage cameras and adjust lighting for part confirmation.
Resolve part detection alarms, miscounts, and runner confirmation errors.
Troubleshoot and fix press, robot, and automation issues during changeovers.
Maintain and repair auxiliary equipment like material delivery systems, blenders, dryers, etc.
Reset drives, replace fuses, diagnose PLC issues, and repair wiring.
Perform accurate changeovers and setups on all machines.
Log into PLCs to clear faults and adjust timers/counters.
Modify or fabricate parts for existing equipment.
