Job summary

Rheinmetall in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support high-volume automated assembly equipment, perform troubleshooting, and preventive/predictive maintenance in production and facility systems.

The role requires 2-year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechatronics and 3+ years of experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs, motors, drives, pneumatics, and electrical drawings. Strong PC skills are needed.

Qualifications

2-year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechatronics.
3+ years of experience maintaining automated assembly equipment.
Experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs and troubleshooting.
Electrical/electronic controls, motors and drive systems, pneumatic controls, and drawings.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair high-volume automated assembly equipment.
Diagnose PLC controls, robots, electro-mechanical and pneumatic devices.
Support new equipment installation, debug and launch.
Support upgrades to production and facility equipment.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
Perform calibrations and develop PM and calibration procedures.
Maintain CMMS documentation, equipment documentation, and backups.
