BMC Software seeks a Clinical Laboratory Assistant in the Lab Support Services department in Boston. This full-time role involves monitoring automation lines, specimen processing, routing, and LIS-based data entry. The position supports QA, maintains equipment, and collaborates across lab sections.

Evening shift 4pm–12:30am. Candidates should have 2+ years in a clinical laboratory and strong English communication skills. A high school diploma is required; higher degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in clinical science preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years working in a clinical laboratory environment.
• Experience with waived testing as defined by CLIA regulations.
• Experience with hospital information systems and Laboratory Information Systems (e.g., Sunquest).

Responsabilités

• Monitor and maintain laboratory automation lines in Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology.
• Receive and prepare specimens, verify ID, and label specimens per policy.
• Route specimens to appropriate lab sections within defined timeframes.
• Load specimens onto automation equipment following handling instructions.
• Document procedures and perform required troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Use LIS and patient registration systems to enter orders and results.
