Matrix designs in Newburgh, IN, is seeking a Test and Validation Software Engineer to join our team. You will develop testing frameworks for software and electrical systems, implement test environments, and validate products against requirements.

This on-site role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or CS and 5+ years of test engineering experience, with LabVIEW and NI hardware, Python/C++, and CAN/RS-232 expertise. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Five+ years of proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role, preferably in sensors and imaging, controls, and software development.
• Experience with high voltage and AC/DC Power 800V+ is desirable.
• Proficient in LabView and NI software/hardware, including DAQ systems.
• Strong knowledge of CAN, RS-232/RS-485, and test instrumentation.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, and LabView for test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
• Develop a comprehensive testing framework and define testing parameters based on input from design teams.
• Implement the testing framework to monitor, document results, and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop test environments and test cases for software and electrical systems.
• Execute diverse testing types including functional, regression, performance, usability, and security testing.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline repetitive testing.
