Job summary
DEKA Research & Development is seeking a technically deep Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join the cloud engineering team. This role emphasizes automation-first, DevSecOps-oriented quality practices and leadership through technical credibility.
You will author and own lifecycle documentation and work with cloud-native teams to scale best practices. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in software quality engineering and hands-on coding in Go/Java/Python, plus experience with regulatory
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
- Experience in FDA-regulated environments (medical devices) is preferred.
- Hands-on coding literacy across Go, Java or Python and IaC tooling.
Responsibilities
- Embed with engineering teams to document practices and automate tooling.
- Own software lifecycle docs: SDP, SRS, SDD, V&V plans/reports, risk files.
- Drive change control and maintain traceability matrices.
- Manage project plan for documentation in releases, parallel to engineering.
- Lead readiness reviews and escalate blockers for timely regulatory submissions.
