Job summary
Vopak is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead automation/control systems for terminal upgrades and migrations. You will guide project planning, design and functional specs, and ensure lifecycle integrity of automation systems at the Los Angeles area terminals.
The role requires 6–8 years in automation with DeltaV DCS, SIS, and Rockwell PLCs; familiarity with Tank Gauging and IT/OT security is a plus. Travel to Corpus Christi, TX may be required.
Qualifications
- Requires a 4-year engineering degree from an accredited university.
- 6–8 years of experience in automation, instrumentation, and process controls.
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS, SIS, and Rockwell PLCs is required or beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support automation/control systems scope for facility upgrade projects, migrations and lifecycle maintenance.
- Develop technical designs and functional specifications for automation projects.
- Coordinate automation technical matters between terminals, customers and engineering personnel to meet safety and project requirements.
- Ensure lifecycle integrity of automation systems and manage vendor deliverables.
