Job summary

OPW, a global leader in fluid-handling solutions, seeks an Automation Engineer to design, program, and commission PLC-controlled equipment and robotic work cells. You will develop HMI interfaces, vision-system integration, and collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure safe, high-performance automation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, controls engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs in industrial/manufacturing settings.
Hands-on experience programming industrial robots and integrating them into automated systems.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and debug PLCs for assembly automation equipment.
Program and integrate industrial robots (FANUC, UR) for pick-and-place and material handling.
Develop HMI screens and operator interfaces for machine control and diagnostics.
Integrate vision systems (Keyence or similar) for part inspection and guidance.
Provide troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement for uptime.
