WORK SHIFT:First Shift (United States of America)JOB DESCRIPTION:Automation Engineer II, Mid Level, designs, develops and implements automated manufacturing equipment and control systems( Industrial automation). Troubleshoot complex technical issues, lead validation efforts and collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate new technologies while ensuring continuous improvement and ensuring safety.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSDevelops, codes, and commissions automated systems, including PLC programming, robotics and motion control systems.Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues, non-standard failures in automated machinery and control machinery to minimize downtimeManages automation projects, including scope, timelines and driving initiatives from design to deployment.Validates protocols and ensures all automation systems comply with safety, industry and quality standards.Analyzes production workflows and data to optimize performance, increase efficiency and reduce operational costCreates technical reports, standard operating procedures, electrical documentation; Technical leadership and training.Coordinates with external vendors for design, procurement, and installation of new equipment.Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.Follow all department quality standards/criteria.
