Job summary

JPMorganChase is hiring a Software Engineer II to join the Commercial & Investment Bank group. You will design and deliver trusted, scalable technology while maintaining secure production code and architectures across multiple domains.

Responsibilities include building automated tests, leveraging AI-assisted coding tools, and contributing to a robust SDLC. The role emphasizes data visualization, performance, and secure practices within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Hands‑on experience in QA automation / SDET / test engineering.
• Fluent programming skills in at least one of: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java (design/maintain frameworks).
• Hands‑on experience with UI automation and backend/API automation tooling.
• Knowledge of testing practices and QA fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL for test data validation.
• Experience with enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development tools and secure coding practices.
• Understanding of responsible AI use and secure handling of data.
• Exposure to CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and speed; ensures outputs via peer review and tests.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value.
• Creates secure, high‑quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Gathers and visualizes data to improve software applications and systems.
• Identifies data patterns to drive improvements in code hygiene and architecture.
• Contributes to engineering communities of practice and emerging technology exploration.
• Supports a diverse, inclusive team culture.
