Job summary

Veolia NA is seeking a Control Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our facility's automated control systems. You will be the SME for ABB 800xA DCS, PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, bridging operations, maintenance, and IT to drive continuous improvements.

The role demands hands-on programming, diagnostic capabilities, and strong knowledge of industrial networking. You will work in a manufacturing environment with on-call support for critical operations and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on programming, configuration, and troubleshooting of ABB 800xA DCS.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support and troubleshooting for automated production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Develop and modify logic for ABB 800xA DCS, PLCs, HMIs for upgrades and safety improvements.
• Oversee industrial networks and data integration using OPC DA/UA, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus.
