Job summary

AllSTEM Connections in Texas seeks an Electrical and Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain electrical systems and automation across aluminum production processes, including melting, casting, rolling, and finishing. The role focuses on high uptime, process efficiency, and safety in a 24/7 plant.

You will program PLCs (Allen-Bradley and Siemens), lead automation projects, develop MES interfaces, and drive preventative maintenance while adhering to NFPA 70E/70B and arc flash

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of industrial automation experience, or 10 years without a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety compliance and an injury-free workplace.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC platforms (AB, Siemens, Beckhoff).
  • Manage electrical/automation projects: scope, budget, execution, and documentation.
  • Specifying, setup, and troubleshooting of drives and MCCs.
  • Develop preventative maintenance procedures for equipment.
  • Lead root-cause analyses of downtime using tools and sensors.
  • Maintain NFPA 70E/70B compliance and arc flash studies.
  • Develop HMIs/SCADA and MES interfaces.
  • Maintain historians and MES integrations.
