Job summary

Stellix is seeking an Automation Engineer to drive DeltaV-based control system implementations across multiple process industries. You will join a technical team, engage customers on automation solutions, and contribute to start-up activities at client sites.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 3 years DeltaV experience, and willingness to travel within the US and abroad. On-site collaboration and strong communication are essential.

This role will contribute to the start-up of new Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) at customer sites. You will be part of a team that engages customers on automation solutions and supports each other along the way.

What You Will Do

• Design, configure, test, and maintain DeltaV Control Systems Applications


• Pursue engineering solutions for process optimization through implementation of process control technologies and strategies


• Provide support of the daily manufacturing operation for process optimization


• Collect customer data and utilize it for designing control strategies


• Participate in the start-up of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) at customer sites


• Conduct site acceptance testing (SAT) and provide supporting documentation


• Perform control system loop checksAbility to read and interpret piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and logic descriptions


• Complete automation projects as a member of a large technical team

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field

• Commutes to customer sites within the greater Boston Area, optional travel within US or abroad


• 3 years programming and configuration experience with DeltaV Distributed Control System

Compensation

This position offers a base salary range of $85,000 to $115,000, based on experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for a variable compensation plan.

The posted salary range represents a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.

On-Site Requirements

This position requires a full on-site presence 5 days per week during the first 4-6 months. Following that period, the role will be on-site four days per week, including Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the fourth on-site day alternating between Tuesday or Friday depending on business needs.

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
