Job summary

Helicon in California is hiring an Automation Engineer to design and implement automated manufacturing systems, including robotics, PLCs, conveyors, and vision systems. You will identify throughput improvements and own equipment issues.

Collaboration with software to connect live data to Argos OS for supply chain, quoting, pricing; need experience with robotics integration.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement automated manufacturing systems (robotics, effectors, fixturing, PLCs, conveyors, and vision systems)
• Identify automation opportunities and improve throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Own equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Software to connect live-streaming data to Argos (our OS for supply chain, quoting, pricing)

Need

• You have designed, built, optimized, and troubleshot automated lines.
• Experience with robotics integration and industrial automation systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in advanced manufacturing for aerospace or defense
• Familiarity with industrial protocols and safety standards
