Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Idaho is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the automation team. This role focuses on identifying, developing, deploying, and maintaining automation solutions across Plexus manufacturing operations to improve quality, efficiency, and velocity.

You will work with cross-functional teams, contribute to design, development, analysis, production and commercialization, and mentor others while using SPC tools and lab equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years related experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Develops manufacturing solutions that are high-quality and cost-appropriate while mentoring others on the team.
  • Utilizes tools and equipment to perform creation, analysis and verification.
  • Demonstrates expertise in multiple phases of the Plexus manufacturing process and product specs.
  • Produces comprehensive project documentation in line with quality and change procedures.

The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:

$81,100.00 - $121,700.00

Purpose Statement:

The automation team identifies, develops, deploys, and maintains automation solutions across the Plexus value stream to improve quality, efficiency, and velocity in Plexus manufacturing operations, encompassing design, development, analysis, production, and commercialization.

Key Job Accountabilities
  • Develops manufacturing solutions / provide services that are high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy the customer's requirements while establishing an area of technical specialty and mentoring others on the team (in-discipline).
  • Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary work including creation, analysis, and verification.
  • Demonstrates expertise in multiple phases/ processes of the full Plexus manufacturing process/ product requirements & specifications as it applies to their role.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently within at least one phase/ process for the manufacturing process/ product, without direction from mentors or functional management, as it applies to their role.
  • Produces comprehensive project documentation in accordance with the quality and change management procedures and guidelines, as it applies to their role.
Education/Experience Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
