Job summary

Kendall Group seeks an Automation Engineer to serve as a sales resource for the Automation Portfolio, covering controllers, I/O, visualization, networks, motion control, and VFDs. The role focuses on pre-sales and post-sales support, developing solutions with customers and collaborating with Kendall’s sales teams.

You will work with Rockwell Automation and other partners, participate in planning, and help ensure high-quality service and timely responses in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on electrical/mechanical knowledge and experience; PLCs, HMIs, Networks, Safety, Motion Control, VFDs and other automation equipment experience.
• Strong analytics, problem solving, and ability to collaborate across teams and with partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology preferred but not required depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a sales resource for the Automation Portfolio, including controls, networks, visualization, and VFDs.
• Partner with Kendall Sales to develop business and close opportunities; support inside sales for quotes and orders.
• Answer post-sale questions and assist customers with technical/commercial needs.

This role includes territory business development, pre-sales, and post-sales support for the above-mentioned portfolio. The position will also be responsible for competency development of our inside and outside sales teams.
